WHAT IS A CSA? — Community Supported Agriculture — is really just a way of connecting the people who grow your food with the people who eat it.
You purchase your share ahead of the season, giving small farms like ours a little support up front when many of our expenses are happening. In return, you get fresh food throughout the season, grown and harvested right here on Islesboro.
For us, that might mean oysters pulled from the water, kelp grown in the bay, eggs collected that morning, meat raised on our farm, or vegetables picked when they're ready.
It’s simple: eat local, know where your food comes from, and support the people growing it.
Our CSA shares are our way of sharing a little piece of what we grow, raise and harvest — from our farm and the sea, straight to your table.
